Alex Cold 4

Here is the newest Alex. I gave him more room under his mouth, made his torso shorter and his legs longer, as suggested. What do you guys think? Making his legs longer, does that make him too tall again?

  1. I like it! His face looks WAYYY better! And the size of the torso is good... Only thing I might adjust is the crotch of his pants are really high. lol... The fit of the shorts appear to be slightly loose fitting to me? So, now that you've lengthened the legs, the crotch of the shorts being so high is really apparent. Maybe lower the crotch down a little and you're good to go, in my opinion.

    Great job, Joelle!

  2. Joelle, check out the line-up post I just made. Basically, Alex feels like he has a small head next to the other characters, and he lacks a dominant shape that communicates some part of his personality.

I wish I knew exactly how to solve this problem, I'll do some drawings and see if moving the shapes around produces something.

  3. I'm at a loss with this character. It would help if I got more suggestions from people. I just don't know what to do at this point. I'm getting kinda frustrated.

  4. I agree that making the head bigger would help. Maybe you can play up his lankiness by not making his cargo shorts so big?

    1. I don't really feel that he is lanky now since I cut down his torso. I think if I make the shorts less big he will not not as interesting in silhouette for sure.
