Alex Cold

Here is what I came up with for Alex. I tried to make him cuter as suggested, but not little boy cute, since he is 15. However, now I'm not sure if he looks 15. Let me know what you guys think. I know the animators needed something to go off of, so hopefully this works.

  1. i like the overall design but i think he looks older than 15, maybe if you made his face a little less chiseled...but he looks like he's 18-ish.

  2. Yeah that's probably it. I was trying to see if I could get the Lucas look and still make him look 15. I'll soften the edges on his face more.

  3. the design of his proportions look a tad too tall for 15? when i crop off the lower half of his body it seems to look okay. maybe his legs are too long?

  4. lol, you're making him look handsome and dreamy...stop it! j/k

I like the suggestion that Marleah and Nathan mentioned.

I really like the design of the hair. It's almost like he has dreadlocks.

  5. hahaha I was afraid of that Danny. Do you think that will be a problem? idk I just never saw him as nerdy as other people were designing him haha XD Thanks, I will make those corrections.

  6. I think it makes him look more interesting, but it's more about what kind of personality traits you want to pull from. The design you have gives him a more "I'm ready for adventure" feel (He's also giving a slight Californian surfer dude feel, but the designy-ness of it is taking away from that. Which is good). Which is okay, just need to know what direction you're aiming for. :)

  7. I agree with the Marleah, Nathan and Danny's comments. I know he's a "climber" but maybe make his shoulders less broad since he is only 15 and is supposed to be fairly small for his age.

  8. I think it looks really good. The chin and the jawline in particular with the harsh angularity are what's bumping his age up. Try to soften those out a bit, in the clone wars stuff they are very picky about where they put the angles so as not to make a younger character look to old, or a woman look to manly. To the point that if the angle would ruin the character look, they'll just use a curve instead, and put the angles on some other secondary thing (hair, neckline, clavicle, item of clothing, etc)

  9. Addendum, I agree with Elizabeth that he looks a little tall and maybe a smidge to wide of shoulder if he's supposed to be small for his age.
