Some Ideas for enhancing the design.

  1. Cool designs there Chris! I like the repeating pattern of the mist in the last sketch. It's something interesting that might have been something that wasn't thought of before.

  2. Very cool! In the top picture on the left, it appears that in the top three tiers of the cliff, the angles of the 2nd and 3rd tiers appear to be exact opposing angles (like both 30 degree angles) so maybe you could lessen one a little bit to add variety to the design. Overall, very fun and I'm excited to see more.

Also, for the animators, maybe you could add some small crevices and outcroppings (aka footholds and finger/hand holds) where we can animate the characters climbing or holding on to the rock faces... We are most likely going to be animating a short sequence of shots, so you don't need to add these details all over the cliff... Just a few (footholds/crevices/outcroppings/branches sticking out/roots sticking out/whatever you come up with/etc) in one area of the cliff that we can zoom in on and animate our characters on the cliff. We can reference in the cliff so you can continue to make changes if necessary/desired, but the overall idea of placement of the foot/hand holds should be fairly solid so we don't have to change our animation due to dramatic changes to the set.

Again, these details can be rough, and only have to be in a specific area of the cliff so we can animate on it.

Hopefully this ill makes sense and is helpful! lol. I know you're busy with your internship, so thank you for keeping in contact and for your hard work!

  3. Noted. I'll zoom in and refine an area for the animators.

    Thanks for the critiques.
